Why does it work?

The Re-new moon cream contains a precisely combined, proprietary composition of AHAs, BHAs and PHAs that microexfoliate, which allows them to prevend the appearance of imperfections (such as blocked pores or blackheads), while restoring the skin’s natural glow and smoothness. The effect takes place in a controlled manner, and thanks to that the skin doesn’t flake and the cream can be used every evening.
The 9 percent concentration of the BEST+ complex, containing the acids: succinic, elagic, shikimic, tranexamic and glycolic, protects the skin and aids its natural regeneration. This composition has antioxidant properties, helps regulate sebum secretion and combat imperfections. Thanks to the ability to inhibit melanogenesis, which is the process of pigment synthesis in the cells, it helps both reduce existing discolorations (post-sun exposure, post-inflammatory, hormonal) and prevent new ones from forming.
The combination of two probiotic and prebiotic ingredients - Biome-Shield from noni fruit stem cells and inulin from chicory root - makes the cream extremely gentle for the skin’s microbiome despite its exfoliating properties.
Willow’s Treasure, an extract from red willow tree bark, helps fight the microorganisms that can cause acne. Its activity is strengthened by Nelupure - an extract from two lotus species, which reduces the secretion of sebum and the issue with oily skin.
The cream contains vegan kefir from prickly pear seeds, called tibicos. It’s an ingredient produced by fermenting prickly pear seeds using beneficial bacteria and yeast. It’s a vegan source of gluconic acid - which aids the synthesis of collagen and cell regeneration, while also helping improve the coloration and texture of the skin and strengthen its protective barrier.
Allantoin and vitamin E soothe and calm the skin, aiding the regeneration of epidermis and supporting the skin with imperfections. They soften and smooth it as well.

Beauty rituals

Apply a small amount of the cream in the evening onto a cleansed and dried face. Gently massage until absorption. To enhance the effect, combine with morning skincare using the Soft-touch skin serum. If you have oily or combination skin, the shikimic acid will help unblock the sebaceous gland openings, while the extract from two species of lotus will help reduce sebum secretion. You will love the cream’s refreshing and regenerating properties.

If you have acne- and irritation-prone skin, then the combined properties of shikimic, elagic, succinic and glycolic acids will help you achieve soothed, calmed and smoothed skin.

How often should I use it?

One application is enough, preferably at the end of evening skin care.

Do the acids require a “grace period”? Is gentle tingling normal at the beginning?

Yes on both accounts. Depending on the skin’s tolerance for acids, in the early phase of using the cream a light tingling sensation can appear. If it’s very intense, you must immediately wash the product off the skin. However, if it’s light and just noticeable, it means you need to build up your tolerance for acids. At first, use the cream every third day. When the tingling stops, you can use it every other day, and after a couple of days you can move to everyday use.

How many percent of acids does the cream have?

Our proprietary composition of acids BEST+ gives the cream a concentration of 9%. Please note that it’s the total concentration of acids in the cream and does not mean that each acid has a 9% concentration.

What’s the cream’s exfoliating power? Will it be visible?

The cream has microexfoliating properties via the dissolution of bonds between the dead cells of epidermis. It’s a very gentle action - after some time of use, you will notice its effects, but no flaking will occur that could grab onto make-up or be visible to the eye.

What types of skin is the cream meant for?

The cream is appropriate for all skin types - in particular for those with oily skin, one with imperfections, discolorations, as well as for dry, matte and in need of glow restoration. In the case of sensitive skin, we recommend performing a test - apply a small amount of cream in an invisible spot, e.g. behind the ear, and wait 24 hours. If no undesired effects happen, you can use it as normal.

Can the cream be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes. The concentration of acids in the cream falls within the guidelines considered by experts as perfectly safe to use during pregnancy. However, we recommend caution and performing an allergy test on the skin, as during and after pregnancy some cosmetics may cause unexpected and not seen previously reactions.

Can I use different cosmetics with acids at the same time?

Yes - unless they are high-potency professional-use cosmetics or treatments performed in a professional beauty salon. The cream is safe to use with our AHA, AHA - I like it! tonic and with Soft-touch skin serum with azeloglycine. It is worth noting that combining too many different types of acids can cause irritation. In case of doubts, consult a cosmetologist or dermatologist.

Can I use the cream together with my retinol/retinal/vitamin C treatment?

We discourage the use of both acids and retinol or retinal. For most skin types the exfoliating effect will be too strong. However, there are no contraindications for using Re-new moon with a vitamin C treatment, e.g. in the form of our Wake-up shot! serum. The acids in the cream act on different mechanisms, but they can be great penetration promotors for active ingredients in Wake-up shot!. Can I use the cream before or after acid treatments in a beauty salon?

Of course - sometimes using a cream with acids beforehand is recommended by cosmetologists. It helps build the skin’s tolerance and thus prevent unwanted side effects of such treatments (including irritation and breaking of the skin, which can lead to discolorations).

What are the contraindications for using the Re-new moon cream?

The main contraindication is sensitivity to any of its ingredients. We also don’t recommend using it with open wounds (broken skin tissue) or during active viral or fungal infections.

When will I see the first effects?

The first effects of the cream should be visible after a couple to several days - it’s a particularly personal issue based on the skin’s individual predispositions. For some, a visible effect can occur very quickly, while others will need a couple extra days of treatment. However, there’s no need to worry - the BEST+ acids complex starts working from the first use!
